Rates

Phone calls

After that, there is a single rate for every call - 10¢ a minute always: local, nationwide long distance and roaming. You can even make international calls to over 60 destinations for an additional 5 cents per minute.

Text Messages

It costs 5 cents to send or receive a text message. Thus with a 30 airtime card, you could send or receive up to 600 messages if you don't talk on the phone.

Size and Weight

This compact, open-face style phone is light – weighing only 2.82 ounces.

Battery life

The battery life is pretty good. You can talk for up to 5.5 hours at a time. On standby, the phone can last up to 18 days.

The Net10 Nokia 1600 has a full color display which is capable of loading screen saver and wallpaper images.

There’s a calendar to keep track of your appointments. Net10 is one of the few inexpensive prepaid cell phone services useful enough for professionals.

Phonebook

You can store up to 200 entries – that’s a little on the low side, but if you need to enter more contacts, you can choose from one of the new phones, such as the LG 600g, which allows up to 1000 entries

Should you get one

If all you need is a basic phone and plan to use up about 150 minutes of calling/text message, then this phone is a good deal. And since they're cheap, you can afford to treat them a little roughly since it's so easy to pick up a new one!
