How do you create a voicemail greeting on T-Mobile?

When some one calls you and no-one answers the operating machine says, "Hello. No-one can answer please leave a message after the tone, beep." How do you record your own voicemail greeting.

My Nokia 1661 is no longer active, but the procedure for setting up voicemail is the same on all their phones and is covered on the Using T-Mobile VoiceMail support page.

How do I set up my voicemail account?

To set up your voicemail account, perform the following steps:
NOTE: You are required to complete all three steps to access your new voice mailbox.

1. From your device, press and hold the 1 key or dial 123.

2. If prompted for a password the first time you access your new voicemail account, use the last four digits of your mobile number.

3. When prompted, create your new password, and record your greeting and name. After you have completed all three of these steps, you will have full access to your new voicemail account.

NOTE: Your new password can be any 4 to 7 digit code.

How do I change my greeting?

To change your greeting, from the voicemail main menu, press the 3 key, and then follow the voice prompts.
