It is true you can send Tracfone text messages to the Philippines which costs the same as sending or receiving a local text message. I do it all the time. I have the LG225 phone.

You could lose your service

Tracfone may deactivate your service if you try to contact the Philippines. Philippines is not one in the international destination list.

Thanks Arlyne. If anyone else also has had success texting to the Phillipines via Tracfone let us know. Incidentally, some Tracfone call centers are located in the Phillipines.
