Are Walmart Net10 phones a good deal. Let us compare them with the same phones available online from Net10. My hunch is that Net10 will be better. Why? Well, Walmart Tracfones can sometime be a good deal because Walmart occasionally offers an inexpensive phone like the LG 410g flip phone as a doulbe minutes phone which is not available online from Tracfone. However, Net10's airtime rates are always the same, 10 cents a minutes. So there's no flexibility there.

Let's test our guess. There are five Walmart Net10 phones, currently available, so let's take a look at them.

Samsung T401 $59.98

The NET10 Samsung T401G Slider Phone offers a slide-out qwerty keyboard, mp3 music player, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, and Bluetooth compatibility for headphones as well as file transfer. The bundle also includes a car charger and a wired headset costs $59.88.

Advantage: Net10 or Walmart?

A refurbished T401g from Net10 costs just $41.99 if you use the two Net10 discount codes. However the Net10 version does not include a car charger or (mono) wired handsfree headset. Get the New Samsung T401G for only $41.99 at Net10.com

LG 300

Walmart offers a NET10 LG300 Bundled w/ Bonus Phone Case, Hands Free Headset, and Car Charger for $29.88 plus 97 cents shipping if you order online. The accessory bundle is worth an extra $10. By comparison, Net10 offers just the phone itself for $29.99 and free shipping, but no accessory kit. So it looks like it's advantage to Walmart.

But wait!

Net10 offers a refurbished LG 300G Cell Phone, Net10 300 minute card bundle. The extra airtime card is a $30 value. As long as you don't mind refurbished, this Net10 is a better value.

Motorola EM326g

The Walmart NET10 Motorola EM326g GSM 4 Handset costs $59.88 plus 97 cents shipping. This is a popular phone with an MP3 music player, a 1.3 megapixel camera and Bluetooth capability.

Advantage Net10

Net10 used to also sell it direct for $59.99, but they've recently lowered the price and for a limited time have added this bundle: Motorola EM326 + Accessory Kit + 2GB Memory card + USB Cable for $49.99. This is no contest. You get a 2GB memory card and cable for $10 less. Advantage to Net10 direct.

LG 600g

The Walmart Net10 LG 600 GSM Handset costs $49.88 plus 97 cents shipping. The LG 600g is a good phone with a VGA camera and full Bluetooth capability.

Net10 offers the same LG600G cell phone for only $39.99 and free shipping. So clearly it's advantage to Net10 direct here.

Samsung T201g

The Walmart NET10 Samsung T201 GSM 4 Handset bundle has dropped to 24.88 plus shipping. The T201g is not big on features but seems otherwise reliable.

Big Advantage Net10

Net10 sells the refurbished Samsung T201G Cell Phone along with a $30 airtime card for $30 or with a $20 airtime card for $20. So the phone is essentially free and so is the shipping. Big advantage for Net10!

LG 400

The Walmart Net10 LG 400 GSM Handset sells for $39.88. This is another basic Net10 flip phone made, in this case, by LG.

So for the five Net10 phones currently available from Walmart, it's clearly better to get two of them from Net10 directly. One of them is only available at Walmart. One is a tie and one is an advantage to Walmart or Net10 depending on whether you want it new or refurbished.
