Use free WiFi (at home or hot spot) to search for and download apps, then later access Internet direct from your phone if necessary. Newer models like the LG840G Tracfone have WiFi and do not use airtime when connected to a wireless network.

wow sounds great especially coming from Tracfone as i have found them to be of the most expensive call rate providers interesting
