Transfer Music and Photos on Galaxy Precedent via USB cable

You can use a USB data cable to transfer photos, music etc. between your phone and your computer. You don't even have to get a separate data cable because the wall charger has a data cable built-in. Just unhook the USB connector from the wall plug and plug that into the USB slot in your computer. The other end hooks up to the USB slot on your phone.

The Galaxy Precedent should be turned on and unlocked to see the USB option. Select the Mass Storage button and then select "Turn on USB storage". You will get an alert panel that tells you that some applications may not be available while you're transferring files, which seems reasonable since those apps often reside on the SD card. Once you say okay, you will get a confirmation that USB storage is in use. You can then go to your computer and open Windows Explorer to see the phone SD card listed as an external drive. You can now transfer files back and forth. The pictures and music should be in the media folder or download folder.
