Thinking of Switching Gophone plans

by Jean Farris
(Springfield, MO)

I have had Go Phone service for four years and really have had no complaints--the few times I lost rather than rolled over minutes it was my fault for not paying attention to when I needed to refill. The thing I found odd was that for the longest time--like until ATT took over--I didn't get charged the dollar a day--just the ten cents a minute.

Now that they've starting docking the dollar a day that it's used, even to listen to a voicemail, I'm debating about switching to the .25 per minute (now just 10 cents per minute) or looking for something else.

Anyone have any comments about T-Mobile or Net 10, both of which are just .10 a minute?

I had gophone for a long time since cingular was the carrier. Now with att I'am charged for incoming calls and calls that never connect, busy or no answer, att customer service said anything over 30 seconds waiting for an answer they will charge 10 cents. Also now I notice when I let a call go to voice mail it charges 10 cents I get charged for calls that I never respond to, thinking of switching. I like att but this is getting crazy paying for non use.
