They asked me to guess how many minutes I had
Got a new phone because old one went through wash machine. When customer service picked up, I gave them the old number, plus new serial number. Then she asked me to estimate how many minutes I had on old phone to transfer. I could not recall, and guessed about 100. So that is exactly how many minutes they gave me on the new phone. Don't they have a record of the exact # of minutes on an account? I should have guessed higher.
I'm not sure. They certainly have a record of airtime redemptions, so if you've only ever activated 200 minutes, then they would know that you couldn't have had a 1000 minutes on your phone. The actual usage is recorded on the phone, but I don't know if it's accessible on their system, especially if the phone is not on the network as yours wouldn't have been.
