They asked me to guess how many minutes I had

Got a new phone because old one went through wash machine. When customer service picked up, I gave them the old number, plus new serial number. Then she asked me to estimate how many minutes I had on old phone to transfer. I could not recall, and guessed about 100. So that is exactly how many minutes they gave me on the new phone. Don't they have a record of the exact # of minutes on an account? I should have guessed higher.

I'm not sure. They certainly have a record of airtime redemptions, so if you've only ever activated 200 minutes, then they would know that you couldn't have had a 1000 minutes on your phone. The actual usage is recorded on the phone, but I don't know if it's accessible on their system, especially if the phone is not on the network as yours wouldn't have been.

spent all day trying to transfer number and minutes from a broken phone to new zte tracfone!the rep. asked me to look at the minutes on the phone that I had explained was smashed and read the minutes. so, a 1 yr card had just been put on the triple minute phone and a promo code of 280 mins 1680 mins and tracfone is going to transfer 800!!! really am finished with tracfone this time.
