the text messaging is wack

When you receive a text message, the screen says "1 new message" and does not tell you who it's from. I mean think about it .. what if some loser you hate got your cell number and would not stop texting you for anything?!? I mean .. what would you do? Waste all your units opening txt messages you don't want just because it doesn't have the number or name of the person who just sent it?

Even when you click "details" on the message .. It won't give you the info until you open it. Which is really bad.

Sincerely,

an unhappy customer.

Got it, used it, upgraded to Samsung Slider

It's a good phone, but texting with it sucks. WAY too much keyboard lag, infinitely worse than texting with the most basic Net10 phone. I got tired with the texting BS, upgraded to a Samsung slider. Much happier now.

Thanks for the work-around

Thanks for the handy work-around!

An additional note, if the text message is from someone you've got in your phone book, that person is identified in the inbox list.

Small work-around !!
by: zzuebe2

There is a small work-around not being able to see who your messages are from.... Try this little trick. When you receive a TXT msg, DO NOT open it right then, rather close the phone and then go to your message inbox. It will show a menu list of all messages and will show you the first 4 or 5 letters of that message FREE of charge. I tell all my friends to place their initials (4-5 letters) at the very beginning of all messages so I can tell who they are from and whether to open them or not...... GOOD LUCK !!!
