The battery goes down after a couple of hours even without making/receiving calls

I have had it for a little over a year and only recently have run into a problem - I charge the phone but the battery is low within a couple of hours and I have to keep charging the phone though I have not made or received calls. What can I do? I tried to remove the battery then put it back in but the problem persists. Backlight is not on as someone suggested in the FAQ.

This can happen if you're in a low-signal area. Otherwise, there is probably something wrong with the battery or the charging mechanism.

Battery dies after a few hours.

Cell phone batteries are designed to only be charged between 300 and 500 times.

If you charged your cell phone everyday before the issue with the battery started to occur, it is possible that you just need a new battery.

I would get a new battery for your phone to see if that helps. If a new battery does not solve your issue, you will have to get a new phone.
