Switching to still camera from camcorder mode

I thought my pictures (on the EX124g) did not come out well. Then I discovered that to take a still picture, you first touch the "camcorder" button on the menu. This actually will set you up to shoot a video, but you want to take a still picture. So after touching the camcorder button, on the next screen touch the symbol in the lower right corner of the screen (it has 3 horizontal bars on it). On the next screen, which says "switch to camera", press the check mark in the lower right corner of the screen. You are now ready to shoot a still picture.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for your comments. I don't remember this being an issue when I first started up the camera, but it's true that the menus on this 3 megapixel resoulution camera contain a lot of options. I like the color effects for fun results as well as white balance modes for getting close to natural results.

Regards,
