Switching number to new phone and keeping old minutes.

It is a nightmare to try and do this with customer service. I was on the phone for 2 hours and they couldn't make the switch from old phone to new phone with keeping same phone number and old minutes. Then they deleted all my voice mails and couldn't recover them! I'm now without a phone for 3-5 days because they said the only solution was to send me another phone.

Absolutely unbelievable and very strange! I do not recommend Net10. You pay for what you get! Cheap service and phone and very bad customer service with no answers! Not worth it!

Transferred minutes from T401g to LG 900g
by: sb (admin)

I was able to transfer my minutes from a Samsung T401g to LG 900g. This was on their pay-as-you-go go plan not the monthly plan.

Just to let people know they do not transfer minutes from old to new phone. All they do is transfer you when you call about subject.

A nightmare indeed!
by: Ken M.

I purchased a reconditioned phone from Net10's website and upon receiving it I called to have my old account transferred and was greeted with all sorts of issues. From hold times to them no understanding me or hearing me to being transferred to this and that person. Also being told that my brand new phone is already "activated" so I can't get my old number. This is rediculouse and I will never use Net10 again. I will also do everything i my power to make sure none of the people I come in contact with every use them!

No problem here
by: Anonymous

I don't use it much so I have accumulated about 3000 minutes. The problem is I have to keep buying so I don't lose minutes. I got another phone when I thought I had lost mine and got 300 minutes for it. I found the other on and switched the minutes to one phone. I noticed they gave me an extra two months. I switched them back a while later and they gave me two more months. I now have 6 months by switching back and forth without having to get new airtime. I'm going to keep doing this until I get about a year's worht of time to use the 3000 minutes. Cool.

Net 10 Junk
by: Wendy

The first blog was right. I'm 5 days in to the nightmare and 5 days without either phone. They were fast to disconnect the old phone and still waiting 5 days later for the new one connected. They're trying to give me a new phone too. I'm taking this piece of junk backto the store and cutting my losses.

No problem with transfer

I've transferred my Net10 number and existing remaining minutes to new phones twice in the past 2 years -- once while talking with customer service (from my landline) and once on the website. Both transfers were smooth and took less than 15 minutes.
