Not Connecting to Wi-Fi

Have LG 840G and no matter what I do I can not connect to my Wi-Fi. I tried refresh, adding same network name, checked for security code until I see it in my sleep to no avail.

All I ever get is fail to connect. It searches for available networks and it shows my network but will not connect.

Are other people having same problem?

Hi,

I turned on my 840g, and it connected right away to a local network. For what it's worth, the security type was WEP. I have not tried it with other security types such as WPA-2.

I have found that you do need to refresh the connection every now and then, but otherwise it works well whenever I test it.

Can you connect to your network using other mobile devices such as an Android or iPhone? If so, then there is something peculiar about your device. If not, check to make sure that you don't need to explicitly allow additional devices to connect to your network? In a setup like that you often have to configure the router to accept your device.

Regards,
sb

In a review it was mentioned that the lg840 is a bit finicky with some wpa2 secured WiFi systems, and mine was as well. However I solved the problem by upgrading to a moto e second edition which is a Android phone and very well worth the few bucks more. :-)
