Nokia Go Phone

Search This Site:

A Nokia Go Phone is a good choice for going prepaid. You can choose from about five phones including a music phone.

Basic Phones

The Nokia 2610 is an entry-level open-face style handset. If you sign up for Media Net, you can view stuff like Mapquest and WikiMobile on the tiny 128 x 128 display.

The Nokia 2320 gets you a few more pixels which makes it a little more convenient for mobile email and instant messaging. You also get a little more talk and standby time because it has a 1020 mAH lithium ion battery. Otherwise the features are about the same.

Slider Phone

The slider-style 2680 adds a VGA camera and Bluetooth. The camera is just about good enough for sharing quick snapshots via picture messages. You can also transfer your photos via Bluetooth or USB.

Flip Phones

We lose the camera on the Nokia 2660 which mostly has the same basic feature set as the 2610 and 2320 in a flip phone format. It does have Bluetooth, however, which does give you a few more options.

Things finally get a little interesting with the Nokia 6085. This is currently the only GoPhone by Nokia with a camera and a music player.

The camera is only VGA resolution, but you can capture up to 60 minutes of video at CIF resolution.

To make use of the music player, you can get a 6085 music bundle which includes a stereo headset, USB cable and a (somewhat small) 512 MB memory card. Still, this is the one to get if you want a Nokia Go Phone at AT&T Wireless. Plus you get free shipping with online activation.
