LG 600g Emergency Calls only

I purchased the 600G online from Trac-Fone. It did not work. I kept getting the message "emergency call only"

I called Trac-Fone. They tried to resolve the problem without success. They eventually sent me a new Sim-Card. which took over a week to receive in the mail. The new Sim-Card did not resolve the problem. They then sent me a phone. Guess what?? The same problem. I could not make or receive calls. Each time I attempt to make a call I am prompted with the message "emergency calls only"

Has anyone had this problem? What can I do to get this problem Fixed?

I also get the message emergency calls only on my lg 600g. Also a lot of calls go straight to voice mail. Have called support twice and they give me new codes which has not solved the problem. Have had for 6 months and had a new sim card and battery replaced. still having problems

LG600G Inconsistant Service

Six representatives, thru four different phone calls,and two emails later and no solution to the "emergency call only", "no network available" or "call ended" syndromne that this phone has. Was told I have good coverage, but still cannot always get a connection. No one can answer why my husband who has a TracPhone gets service while I don't on my TracPhone.

I bought the phones for my kids - thought they would be a good deal. The phones don't have a lot of features and that "emergency call only" thing is wearing on our nerves. I have not been able to get thru to Tracfone...I get the "call back later" message. This is the very last Tracfone I will purchase. Period.

They should PAY US for the LG 600 - it sucks.

I too have that EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY crap going on with the LG600 I bought from the Tracfone website. It sucks. I can have 4 bars showing and it will flash that EMERGENCY CALLS ONLY crap. It also deducts units for messages it doesn't even deliver.

Might have something to do with signal. I've gotten that message, but when I move to another location, the call goes through.

The LG600 Phone that is offered by trak-Fone and perhaps many other carriers may be problematic. I have this phone and all my problems were solved with a new Sim Card, Not just a new Sim Car but a different type of Sim Card. I guess that their are several types with varying formats.

hmm, i have this same problem with the phone. In fact, I just got this phone but have yet to make a call. When I called to activate the phone, I was told it would need a new sim card (odd, I thought, since they just sent it to me). Well, I waited for 2wks on the sim card, but it never arrived. When I phoned in again, tracfone changed their story and said they could activate it, and in fact, I didn't need a new sim card. The whole thing did not sound right (and it wasn't since the phone doesn't work)
If you figure out whats wrong, can you post a solution??? I am soooo not wanting to call tracfone again on this.
