How to transfer account name and credit card

We had two telephones. My husband Dale has passed away and I have one phone. I would like to have one in my name and named for Phyllis with the number==snip. I would like to pay with a credit card as I use it. I have always used the same number.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry to hear about your loss.

I contacted Alltel's customer support to find out what you need to do to transfer the phone and credit card:

You should contact Alltel's customer support at:

1-800-335-6401

And give them your telephone number, and tell them you situation and that you want to do an Account Name Change.

To do this, they will send you an authorization code to your cell phone via text message. You then read the authorization code back to them to confirm and then they can go ahead and change the name and credit card information on the account.

It is easier if you call from another phone rather then your cell phone. This way you may be able to complete the process with one call.
