how do you set the time and the date?

I'll be brief. how do you set the time and the date for this phone? It is not covered in that "getting started" thing? Please respond and help.

Hey ya'll. I DoD the turn off phone thing as well ad the remove battery thing. I did them at the same time do which one actually worked I can not say. Here is the problem though, it did not change it correctly@! Time is a bit closer to actual but date is still set for 2004. Help!!!

Well I felt really stupid not thinking about turning it off and turning it on. But that work perfectly. Got to keep that in mind for electronic devices thanks for your help

Thank you for the huge help. I could not find a date/time setting on my phone & just happened to find you on the Internet. I turned off my phone, waited (probably not necessary) about 30 seconds, and then turned the phone back on. This worked to reset to the correct time. I keep forgetting that the phone needs to be treated like my computer (resetting by turning OFF and then ON).

You do not have to remove battery. Turn the phone completely off by pushing the red button until a blank screen appears.Turn it back on by pushing the red button again. Time should be reset.

I have an LG306G. I had to turn off remove the battery and then put the battery in and turn on. That worked. This is a tracphone.

To have the system time reset, turn off the phone and the turn it back on. The correct time should be displayed.

Does anyone know if date and time will automatically set if you have not activated yet? I hate to activate if I only get 10 days of battery life before a recharge. And yes I have replaced batteries.

This is what I did to set time on my lg420g:
-turn off phone
-remove battery for a little while
-put in battery and turn on.

You can't set the time manually in any settings.
It does it automatically.

Hi,

I believe the time and date are set by the system. You cannot set it yourself.

You can try turning the phone off and then back on.
