Had Net10 LG phone for 2yrs - best phone ever

by Pat Wells
(Medina, Ohio USA)

Had Net10 LG phone for 2yrs. just the basic no frills no flip type, $24.95 on sale at KMart with 300 minutes. Why oh why did I switch to Tracfone Samsung T301G with no users manual to get use of all functions!!! LG best phone ever still have 130.5 mins. left but no days.(Just hate to give up my phone number that I xfered from LG to Tracfone).(This took almost 2hrs) and when tracfone customer service got done helping to set me up the phone kept reading that I had 3,705 days of service-go figure this out and another 45 mins and supervisor to correct).

The LG had nice audible ringtones and turn on-off tones could nicely hear. Also the punctuation ability so nice and easy, texting nice and easy-- whole concept good! One glitch, could not tell who was texting before spending money to find out, too many advertisers texting me adding additional cost, but all in all I think the camera and bluetooth capability on Samsung is just not important enough to stay with this company, how much per minute anyway?? and forget customer service who operate and are based on another planet and very foreign to me. Refuse to have to "buy" the Samsung manual so I think I will bite the bullet, lose the stored up minutes and let this one expire and go back to the Net 10. Oh well, at least I found out the best phone to have. Net10! Just have to find out how to retrieve my old 130.5mins. and possibly get the 1050 mins. 90 days for about $25.00 can you advise. Thanks for your time.

Which browser are you using?
by: sb (admin)

Hi, a while back I had trouble with purchasing minutes while using the Firefox browser. Then a reader recommended using Internet Explorer which worked. So you can try that. Otherwise, don't know. It should work.

Net10 vs. Tracfone
by: DoctorM

I started out with Net10, but switched to Tracfone because it was quite a bit cheaper for me. The way I was using Net10 cost about $.2o/minute, but with Tracfone its only about $,10/minute. Tracfone also offers LG phones.

Different plans, same co.
by: sb (admin)

Pat,

Thanks for your comments. Even though the Net10 and Tracfone services are provided by the same co., but for some reason Net10 does have a better record of customer satisfaction. Perhaps because the plans are (were) a lot simpler.

I may have to update the description of the minutes, because the 300 free minutes seems to only be offered on the Net10 LG 1500. The other Net10 phones now only give you 10 free minutes upon activation.

Regards.
