Get "call-end" when dialing numbers in Germany

by Mary
(St Germain, Wi)

With my old Tracfone, I could call Germany. I tried with my new one and I follow the instructions: 800 number, click 1 for English and then dial my number starting with 011. I start dialing and half way through it stops and says "call end". I have tried several times with the same problem.

Are you calling a cell phone number
by: sb

Hi Mary,

Are you calling a cell phone. I think you can only call landlines in Germany with your Tracfone. This situation usually occurs when the so-called "termination fees" for cellular calls to a particular country are very high so that it's not cost-effective for Tracfone to offer it at no additional charge. The only way to make that call is via a separate calling card or a service like Rebtel.
