I used to be able to send text messages to the Philippines that's the reason I bought my tracfone. I just recently bought a new one but I can no longer send text message. It keeps saying check sms restriction.

Workaround for International Texting

I am also a Tracfone user, and my brother has been in London, England for a while now. He sent me a text from a phone there. I've been able to send him text messages by replying to his initial text message. I note that my brother's phone number is shown as: +nnnnnnnnnnnn in his text message, where the n's are digits of his phone number over there (note the plus sign at the beginning of the phone number). I have not found a way of entering the plus sign in a phone number, but if you can get the person you're trying to text to send you a text message from their phone initially and then reply to it, that might provide a work-around for you.
