Can't set up voicemail, can someone help?

I can't set up my voicemail. Can someone help me?
I dial *86 and it rings to voicemail but no sound or set up instructions.

Dialing *86 was exactly what I did to set it up on my LG290C. When you call the Straight Talk phone from another number, what happens when you don't answer it? Does it keep ringing or say voicemail is not set up yet, or does it go silent?

You may have to call customer support to have them reset your voicemail so you can set it up again.

I can't check my voicemail.

When I check my voicemail, the phone dials the number called from instead of a message. Why?

I'm sorry I don't really understand what's going on from your description. I assume you're checking your voicemail from your phone, so the number your calling from is your cell phone number, right? Are you saying that somehow the phone tries to dial itself? If so, I haven't seen that before.

I think you'll have to call Straight Talk's customer support (1-877-430-2355) and see if they can help you. If someone else has seen this before, we'd be glad to hear from you.
