Can't call Eastern Caribbean Countries from Tracfone

Why can't Tracfone call or text to Jamaica, Trinidad, St. Vincent & The Grenadines among others. You can call The Virgin Islands only, but Tracfone suppose to many international countries. I don't need it if I can't call St. Vincent.

I think the company Tracfone uses doesn't have an agreement with those countries' phone companies to be able to connect. This could be due to some random reason or due to the cost.

I looked at the rough prices for calling cards to Jamaica, Trinidad, St. Vincent, and Grenada. The rates ranged from about 8 to 16 cents per minute. When you pay for a one-year card on Tracfone and use the 200 minute promo code, you pay about ten cents per minute. So that has to cover the cost of the international call since they don't charge extra airtime for those calls.

If you want to use your Tracfone you'll have to use a calling card so you'll be paying both for the Tracfone airtime as well as the calling card minutes.

Anyway, it is annoying that you can call all those other countries but not the ones you want to. Hopefully, they'll add those sometime soon.

Straight Talk plan has more countries but like calling card

The Straight Talk international calling has a lot more countries, but you have to pay an additional cost, so it's really just like using a calling card.

As the previous commenter mentioned, you don't have to have a Straight Talk phone to use the service, but you get lower rates if you are.

Here are the rates for some of the countries mentioned in the original post when calling via Straight Talk's international calling:

Tracfone's sister brand Straight Talk recently introduced international calling (I suspect due to some pressures being exerted). Not very long afterwards, they've incorporated not only Straight Talk subscribers, but anyone, and everyone who has access to any phone, from any service. I've been a hell bent trying to find out about the charges, but the claim is that there's 800 countries available for this service - id I were you, I'd have a look there.
