Q: Can I use LG Prime Gophone with family plan?
A: I don't know about the family plan in particular, but I have found two instances of people going outside the prepaid plans.
One person was already on standard AT&T plan using another phone. He claims he just switched in a regular sim card associated with that plan into his LG Prime GoPhone and got it to work.
Another person, with the nickname Darthvagrant, who apparently wasn't on an AT&T plan, bought the phone and then took it into an AT&T retail store to activate it on a regular plan. Apparently not all the AT&T stores were eager to do this, but eventually one did.
Keep in mind that I haven't tried this myself, but it looks possible.
