Q. Can you use a Jitterbug phone with AT&T or Sprint?
A. Sorry, no you can't. Jitterbug runs on the Verizon network. Jitterbug used to have coverage through a bunch of different providers, but they decided to move over to the Verizon network to get consistent coverage.
Jitterbug doesn't just provide phone service, they also provide additional services like live nursing advice, health and wellness tips, with more services like a medication reminder service to come. They couldn't deliver these services if the phones were activated on a different network.
Speaking in jargon, the Verizon network is a CDMA network while AT&T uses GSM phones, which should make them incompatible. The Sprint network does use CDMA style phones, so if Jitterbug decided to switch over to Sprint I suppose they could, but you and I, unfortunately, can't do that on our own.
So that's one drawback to go with its advantages: NEW Jitterbug J cell phone. No contracts. No roaming or long distance fees. Affordable plans start at ONLY $14.99. Learn more...
